Prof Regina Oladokun

Regina Oladokun is a Professor of Paediatrics in the Department of Paediatrics, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan and Consultant Paediatrician at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria.  She had one time coordinated the paediatric undergraduate programme in the Department and later served as Sub-Dean (Undergraduate) in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences.  She is the Head of the Infectious Diseases Unit of the Department and Coordinator of the Paediatric HIV programme of the hospital.  She received her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB, BS) from the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria.  She completed her residency training at the University College Hospital, Ibadan with Fellowships of the National Postgraduate Medical College and West African College of Physicians in Paediatrics.  She obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree and continued further her postgraduate education with a fellowship in Paediatric infectious diseases at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital, Cape Town as well as Master of Philosophy in Paediatric Infectious diseases from University of Cape Town.  Apart from paediatric HIV research, she has also been active in the area of childhood tuberculosis and vaccine preventable diseases.  She is currently the Vice -Chair of the Child TB Steering Committee of the National TB Programme and is a trainer on Paediatrics HIV/AIDS; drug susceptible and drug resistant TB for the national programmes of the Federal Ministry of Health.
