Mr. Oluwasegun Afolaranmi

OLUWASEGUN J. AFOLARANMI is in his 5th year studying medicine and surgery at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

He is enthusiastic about clinical medicine, interdisciplinary research, health policy and administration as well as medical education.

He is the Head of Contents at The Wellbeing Initiative where he contributes to tackling the scourge of Non-communicable diseases in his country. He also co-founded The Ganglion Initiative which involves a network of vibrant young minds working to bridge the gap between basic and university education through capacity building and mentorship.

On the Organizing committee of the 32nd FAMSA General Assembly, he heads the content team saddled with the responsibility of providing participants with an enduring and stimulating experience through the array of high quality content that the conference will provide.

He hopes to draw from experience garnered from years of content development and attendance at conferences including the Lagos Model United Nations, 2017 to which he led the Ibadan College of Medicine Delegation and the World Healthcare Students’ Symposium 2017 in Kigali, Rwanda.

Oluwasegun is a young researcher and student leader who wants to build a stellar career as a physician-scientist with a strong inclination towards health leadership, policy and administration.
